The UTS Social Impact Grants: 2017–2021 Evaluation presents a five-year review of a small-grants program delivered by the Centre for Social Justice and Inclusion at the University of Technology Sydney. The program provides seed funding for UTS staff and students to co-design and deliver community-engaged projects aligned with the UTS Social Impact Framework. Drawing on final project reports, case studies, and a 2023 follow-up survey, the evaluation highlights the program’s role in fostering meaningful university-community partnerships, building staff and student capacity for social impact, and generating tangible community outcomes across diverse issues such as inclusion, sustainability, health, and equity. The report also identifies key lessons, challenges, and recommendations to strengthen future program delivery, visibility, and long-term impact.
